Job Description
Job Title: Bus and Coach Driver

Reporting: Reporting to Depot Manager
Job Purpose: Provide a quality service to Westwide Bus and Coach Charter/’s Customers
Key Tasks:
· To maintain a customer focused attitude.
· To provide a safe, comfortable, punctual service to customers.
· To comply with company rules and policies on Health & Safety,cash handling etc.
· To use safe driving practices.
· To minimise vehicle damage and vehicle wear and tear.
· Driving local bus services and charters.
· Familiarise yourself with the various company vehicles.
· Communicate with controllers and supervisors.
· Comply with legal requirements covering any Drivers Hours Regulations.
· Comply with Westwide Bus and Coach Charter/’s fatigue management system.
· Report faults using the Westwide Bus and Coach Charter/’s defect reporting system.
. Work as a team member with Westwide Bus and Coach Charter/’s other staff.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Personal Characteristics:
· Punctual and Trustworthy.
· An ability to work unsupervised.
· Have a flexible attitude to working shifts, evenings and weekends.
· Be a good communicator with a pleasant and caring attitude towards customers and staff.
Training:
Where appropriate, training will be given for those who do not hold a licence.
On joining this company you will be given the appropriate training and assistance to achieve the company goals.
All drivers will be expected to work from any reasonable location where buses are garaged or parked.
Salary
Your salary will be credited fortnightly to your bank account.
Medical Fitness
All applicants are required to conform with department medical requirements and undergo medical examinations as required by the DPI.
Dress Code
Drivers will be provided with a uniform shirt & badge, which must be worn at all times when on duty.
Staff will be responsible for the care of the uniform, which remains the property of Westwide and must be returned when employment terminates.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
Westwide Bus and Coach Charter/’s operate a policy regarding the use/misuse of alcohol and drugs. A copy of will be provided for successful applicants.
Smoking Policy
Westwide Bus and Coach Charter/’s operates a strict no smoking policy while on duty and on company premises.
